2023년 1월 키르키스스탄으로 단기 선교를 가서 한 집에 머무르기로 했다. 그 집에 살고 있는 한 소녀의 눈을 마주쳤다. 수많은 감정들이 스치며 알 수 없는 슬픔을 느꼈다. 억눌린 자유, 보이지 않는 구원 버려진 듯한 희망을 갈구하는 소녀의 눈동자 속 곤고한 외침.

마음 속에 이는 파도, 숨바꼭질과 같은 인생의 시련 속에서 아무리 넘어지더라도
결국 새처럼 날아 종래에는 나를 힘들게 하는 것에서 벗어나고자 하는 다짐과 강한 의지를 노래하는 곡이다.

우주의 수많은 달이라는 존재 중 지구와 달의 운명처럼
존재만으로도 온전히 서로를 이해하고 이해받을 수 있는
나만의 달빛을 찾고자 하는 염원을 담은 곡으로
너무 먼 이상과 같은 것일지 몰라도 반드시 그 빛 안에서 나의 영혼 그대로의 모습으로 숨쉬고 사랑하며 살기를 바라는 마음을 담았다.

그럼에도 불구하고 빛과 같은 희망을 바라보며 'Shiloah'라는 상징적 공간에
내 안의 어둠을 모두 흘려보내고자 하는 마음을 노래한 곡이다.

깊은 곳에 감춰두기만 했던 자신의 세계를 표현하는 첫 걸음을 떼려는 존재에게 옆에서 힘이 되어 주겠다는 목소리와 광활한 사운드를 함께 표현하여
지금은 미약하나 앞으로 보여줄 세계는 결코 그렇지 않을 것이라는 기대를 가득 느끼게 만든다.
