Rumin은 지난 몇 년간 아프리카, 유럽, 남미 등지에서 배우로써 활동하며 아프리카의 전통 제사 음악, 블루스 초기 음악, 남미의 민속 음악, 한국과 몽골의 전통 음악들을 기반으로 한 공연활동을 해 왔으며, 그 영향으로 2017년에는 브라질에서 다국적 밴드 Farmer Astronauts라는 프로젝트 밴드를 결성함으로서 본격적으로 음악 활동을 시작했다. 2018년에는 한국에 돌아와 싱글 Birds, why don't you come inside를 발매했다.

Birds, why don't you come inside 누군가 떠나고 산 속 오두막에 홀로 남겨졌을 때였다. 아침에 일어나 창 밖으로 내리쬐는 햇빛을 바라보면서 그저 아무렇게나 노래를 부르고 있었는데, 초록색과 노란색이 뒤섞인 새 한 마리가 창문으로 오더니 머리를 부딪혀댔다. 마치 들어오기라도 하려는 듯... 창문에 막혀 들어갈 수 없다는 걸 깨닫자, 새는 창문 바로 앞에 서있던 나뭇가지 위에 한참동안 앉아서는, 내가 노래를 부르고 있는 방 안쪽을 바라보기 시작했다. 나는 새를 향해 노래하기 시작했다.
